VENDETTA KIND OF MOOD - The crows have gathered at the foot of my bed, and they’ve gotten the sense I’m less alive than dead. My heart, my head, battered and bruised from the life that I’ve lead. Years down left my skin cracked, years kicking up dust has turned my eyes jet black. Every choice can turn to regret in hindsight that you haven’t seen yet. We’ve got a new flag to fly, we’ve got a new battle cry… We are switchblade knives at the throats of thieves, we are the beggars, done begging, done living on our knees. There’s an angel at the head of my bed, and if she falters my soul goes to the demons instead. My heart, my head, sutured and sewn by the things that she’s said. Years down have left my heart drained, years kicking up dust has turned my hate to distain. Every choice can turn to regret in hindsight that you haven’t seen yet.
